Hi there- I’m Brooke Eliason (pronounced “e-listen”), a 20 something female foodie and native of Salt Lake City. I was raised in a home where my mother taught me the love of all things food. I started Female Foodie in 2010 when I was living in the little touristy town of West Yellowstone, Montana (population 1,321) and decided I’d document my experiences trying every single restaurant in town. Even after leaving West Yellowstone, I continued to document and promote favorite foodie spots that, I felt, everyone should know about. In 2014 I jumped on the social media bandwagon and, for the first time, was able to experience being a part of the foodie community.
When I’m not getting my chow on, I love spending any spare time that I have in the great outdoors. My weeks are filled with lots of hiking and trail running in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. I graduated in 2015 with a Master’s of Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Utah and was married that summer to my best friend and love of my life. I have made life-long friends through my foodie endeavors and hope to meet you too!
