Female Foodie SLC: El Paisa GrillHidden in the industrial district west of Salt Lake City is a gem known to locals as “the taco bar.” Walk in during lunchtime on a weekday and you’ll find the place packed with hungry customers, ranging from business executives to truck drivers all there for one thing: the all-you-can-eat street tacos. I’ve been to El Paisa Grill for dinner and it’s definitely a true-to-form Mexican restaurant that also draws a crowd for its many entrees and karaoke nights, but the taco bar is the true star. The tortillas are cooked before your eyes. You can choose from six different proteins, pile on as many toppings as you want, and dig in!

You can’t possibly go wrong with any of the meats but my favorites by far are the chorizo and the chicken chipotle. I usually eat at least four of each. Sometimes I even pile a plate high with chicken chipotle and toppings and eat it with delicious crispy chips. Next time you’re in West Valley, spend your lunch at El Paisa for a guarantee to leave happy and full!
