Street tacos at Brody's Mexican Restaurant in Cedar City, UtahI still remember the day I first ate street tacos from Brody’s. It was the summer of 2013 on a warm July day and they were catering an event I was attending.

I remember being blown away as I munched on a steak taco and chatted with the chef about how they had just opened their doors a few weeks ago and were excited to bring their family and their food to beautiful Cedar City. I’ve been a loyal customer ever since.

Opening a Mexican restaurant in Cedar City is no easy feat, either. The city is teeming with them and almost all of them are solid, but in my opinion, Brody’s stands out from the crowd. When you step inside, you immediately feel the welcoming, family friendly atmosphere that emanates from the staff. Your water glass and basket of chips are always full and you’ll leave with a bulging tummy that you definitely won’t regret.

Brody's Mexican Restaurant in Cedar City, UtahMy favorite thing to order is, by far, the street tacos. Brody’s started out as a taco stand in Minersville before they expanded to Cedar, so their street tacos are what they’re built on and it’s for good reason. I almost always get the steak, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the protein choices – the chicken and the shredded beef are some of my other favorites. You order them by the taco, so nothing’s stopping you from trying all the choices!

Some more of my faves: horchata, the guacamole dip, and for dessert, bunuelos.
