If I could live there, I would. If I could breathe the Hawaiian air every morning, I would. If I could eat the food, I would in a heartbeat. So as you can imagine, there has only been a couple moments when I’ve been mad while eating food: if it’s gross or if it’s Honolulu Grill. Why? Not only is this food to die for, but it makes you want to spontaneously buy a flight to Hawaii. So yes, the Honolulu Grill and I have a love-hate relationship. Every time I enter this place, tears almost stream my eyes for joy of the yummy food and for the heartbreak I feel that I’m 3,000 miles away from the beautiful island.

Female Foodie Southern Utah: Honolulu GrillFemale Foodie Southern Utah: Honolulu GrillThis might all seem dramatic, but it’s a real thing! Honolulu Grill brings the island flavor to the homeland. They’ve got everything and anything that you’d want from your classic Hawaiian eatery. Musubi, Chicken Katsu, Kalua Pork, Teriyaki Beef, macaroni salad, rice, shaved ice…the list goes on and on. I want some right now. Surprise.

Spring breakers reign down south and we were no different. After eating there each break after that and taking a trip to Hawaii last year, you can imagine the deep love my friends and I have gained for this place.

Wait, don’t forget the most important part – a couple Musubi’s!! If you don’t know what those are, you need to go down to your local Hawaiian shack and get one ASAP. Wow. Basically these things should be consumed like water. They’re simple, yet delicious. Now don’t get freaked out, but it’s rice and a slice of perfectly flavored spam, all wrapped in seaweed – an authentic Hawaiian treat. All I’m saying is, don’t knock it ’til you try it.
