The Crepery in St. George, UTI studied abroad in Paris when I was in college, and ever since, I’ve been searching high and low for a dessert crepe that even somewhat compares to the ones you can get on every street corner in France. Requirements include: crepes must be folded, not rolled; should be crispy; and the contents are served warm. After years on this quest, I finally found a place I can confidently recommend, and it’s in St. George of all places.

Nutella & fruit crepe at The CreperyThe Crepery is a relatively new installment in St. George and they serve both sweet and savory crepes. I’ve tried both, and love both, but my heart truly belongs to a crepe filled with nothing but Nutella, bananas, and strawberries, so you won’t often see me ordering anything else.

If you’re not familiar with Parisian crepes, they’re meant to be picked up and eaten from the top down like a sandwich instead of with a fork (and trust me, they’re so much better this way). The Crepery achieves the crispiness I have missed for so long and the Nutella inside is warm and melty. Pair it with one of their delicious hot chocolates (made from Nutella!) or my personal favorite, a caramel steamer. I’m salivating just thinking about this combo.

Their savory crepe options are just as crave-able. I’ve tried the Pepe Le Pesto and the Rushmore and both got two thumbs up. Oh – and don’t let me forget to mention that you can eat your crepe in one of their fancy indoor swings or rocking chairs. I’m a fan.
