Can you believe that I have lived in Salt Lake City my entire life and never been to The Roof Restaurant?? This classic Salt Lake City location has the BEST views of Temple Square with a beautiful ambiance to go with. We were blown away by the hospitality of our serving staff and couldn’t stop marveling at the beauty of the LDS temple and lights from our view from the 10th floor restaurant.
The Roof is open year round, however, they provide a special seasonal spread during the Christmas season. The restaurant serves food centrally buffet style with table side service for beverages and bread (three words: Lion House Rolls). Aside from the gorgeous views and beautiful piano music, we enjoyed the peppermint hot chocolate, Lion House rolls, Prime Rib, miniature creme brûlée, and house made bread pudding (made with Lion House rolls). Are you sick of hearing me say Lion House Rolls yet??
Such a gorgeous space and such a great opportunity to take a moment and reflect on the reason for this Christmas season. As I looked over my shoulder and admired Temple Square, I couldn’t help but think of all the blessing’s in my life because of the Savior. Thankful for His life.
