Fast 5 Ingredient Cake Batter Dip

5 Ingredient Cake Batter Dip is the answer to all your childhood woes.  There was truly nothing better than licking the spoon after mixing together a birthday cake.  But for all kinds of reasons, Mom never allowed you to do more than the spoon.  Then there was the hour of torture where the aroma of heavenly cake wafted throughout the house while baking.  Next, another three hours of staring at the delicious yellow treat as it cooled on the table.  Then another hour as Mom spread thick, gooey frosting all over it.  I cannot think of anything more excruciating for an 8-year-old than this.

This 5 Ingredient Cake Batter Dip is so simple to make, you’ll make it all the time.  First I use sumptuous mascarpone.  Mascarpone is a spectacular Italian cream cheese.  However, it’s easier to spread and doesn’t have cream cheese’s signature tang.  Its mild flavor doesn’t overshadow the cake batter flavor like cream cheese.  Don’t substitute the mascarpone for cream cheese unless you’re desperate!  Lastly, you must get the cutest sprinkles ever!  I love Amy Sedaris’ “I Like You Cupcake Sprinkles” from Fishs Eddy.  Have fun!
