Classic Restaurant Style Salsa

There are a couple of things my family eats on everything. The first, is ranch. But only BYU ranch, because it’s the best and I swear it’s made of something magical. But that’s a story for another time.

The next thing my family eats on everything this salsa. My family lives off of this stuff! We add it to every meal because it is good with everything! If you could only have one recipe for salsa this is it. It’s the best, classic restaurant style salsa in the world! The flavors of all the ingredients mix up to make the most delicious and addictive mixture in the world.

  I have a lot of memories of this salsa. From bringing it to high school dance dates, to eating it way to late at night for a midnight snack, this salsa and I have been through it all. It’s always been there for me to add to my tacos and for me to enjoy its perfectly balanced spicy tomato flavor. So let’s hear it for the salsa that gets us through those rough Mondays and who we can totally justify because it’s “healthy” right?  Here it is people, the best salsa in the world!

Classic Restaurant Style Salsa

Ingredients
  • 12 oz. diced tomatoes (with or without juice)
  • Juice from half of a lemon
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 a bunch of cilantro
  • 1/4 to 1/2 Jalepeno Pepper (with seeds)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/8 of a medium white onion
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend to desired consistency.
