One of my families favorite dishes is Skillet Mac and Cheese. Anyone with a kid can tell you that Mac and Cheese will become a staple with a little one running around. Living in Utah gives my family many opportunities to go camping. Any foodie will tell you that camping is all about the food! This recipe is perfect for camping or when you need a quick meal at home.
If you’re making this Skillet Mac and Cheese at home feel free to use one pot for pasta and then the skillet to make the mac and cheese. For camping you’ll need to do a little bit of meal prep. Ugh.. I know, meal prep, booo! Don’t worry though, the prep part of this isn’t anything too crazy. Alright, are you ready for it? You simply cook the macaroni and drain it before you head out on your camping adventure! To make it easy to travel once the macaroni is cooled I put it in a ziplock bag and pack it in the cooler.
Whether you’re cooking this Skillet Mac and Cheese over the campfire or from the comfort of your own home I hope you enjoy it!
