As they say, "Keep Austin Weird".For those of you who may not know what a churro is, the first thing you should know is that it’s a little slice of deep-fried heaven.  Specifically, churros are a simple dough that is piped into hot oil.  Once the dough is fried to a golden brown, it is traditionally served with caramel or a hot chocolate sauce.  But this is Austin, where we like to “keep it weird”, so down with tradition, Churro Co. is going to have the craziest toppings out there.

Next we have Rico Suave. (Anyone remember the one-hit-wonder from the early 90’s?)  This churro was covered in cacao sugar (very fancy), then doused in Nutella sauce with house-made strawberry jam.  And if that wasn’t enough sugar, they top it off with whipped cream and toasted coconut.  Be still, my heart!

Last, but not least – Campfire.  I saved the best for last.  Topping off the warm, crisp goodness of this last churro is a Mexican chocolate sauce, graham cracker sugar, whipped cream and charred marshmallows.  You read that right, charred.  This is the only way to eat marshmallows and I will fight you in the comments section about it.  Churros with graham cracker sugar and charred marshmallows are now the only right way to eat a churro.
