Base Camp Pizza. Or is it Basecamp Pizza? I’ve had a good half dozen peeps recommend this Tahoe pizza joint to me so I figured it was time to take the plunge. Came here just before the sun went down and sat on their patio- heaters, great to enjoy the fresh air, and awesome service.
You know you’re not on your A-game when there’s a fork in a photo of french fries. Oops. Fun to try a small appetizer. The parmesan and parsley were a nice addition, too.

It’s amazing how an ingredient or two can change the aesthetic of a dish for the better.

After debating between the chicken curry and BBQ chicken, I opted for BBQ chicken (light BBQ sauce) and thought it was great! As suspected, this pizza is a great place to go for a delicious “American” pie prepared with homemade dough and fresh toppings. I loved the flavor combination of the cilantro, bacon, red onion, and creamy smoked gouda.
