imageimage-18-1024x840imageBrick Lane is well known for two things – curry and bagels. Beigel bake is the most famous bagel shop in the whole of London and people come for all over for their salt beef.

It’s been open since 1982 and you can get your bagel fix 24 hours a day 7 days a week! The queue outside speaks for itself. Don’t expect anything fancy but expect something great. The service is fast and the shop is a rough around the edges but it’s all part of the experience. Their bagels are handmade in store and while you wait you can see piles of dough being kneaded and hundreds of them being rolled, all in the tiny kitchen at the back.

Heck you can buy a plain one for 30p and do whatever you like with it! Of course if you’re going to have one it has to be their staple salt beef with all the fixings. Cut fresh as you queue, it’s generously stuffed into a homemade bagel and topped with gherkins and mustard.

image-1024x683image-1-1024x683imageSo if you’re looking for something to do in London on a Sunday I’ve got in planned. Stroll to Spitalfields market, wander down through brick lane and eventually end at Beigal bake (quick tip- don’t get it confused with Beigel Shop masquerading as this famous store just a few doors up. Beigel Bake is white, Beigel Shop is yellow!

). Enjoy!
