6. Donut: Bob’s Donuts

We are consistently blown away by Bob’s Donuts thanks to their fun, unique flavor selection and the unparalleled quality of their donuts. Other donut shops in Omaha deliver good donuts, but Bob’s really goes above and beyond to make theirs stand out. Not only are the donuts super Instagrammable, but they are also—and more importantly—packed full of flavor with an incredibly fluffy texture. We highly recommend their Turtle donut, but you really can’t go wrong with any selection here. Their prices are fair and the location is in a well-loved, trendy part of downtown Omaha. Win-win!

5. Milkshake: eCreamery Ice Cream & Gelato

When we tried eCreamery’s milkshakes for the first time, our jaws dropped straight to the floor. When we finally picked them up, we realized these milkshakes have the perfect combo of flavor and creaminess, making them some of the best dessert in Omaha. The ice cream at eCreamery is remarkable to begin with, but the glow up from ice cream to milkshake is the stuff dreams are made of. We recommend the Shark Bait Milkshake, featuring sea salt caramel ice cream with chocolate-covered pretzels, for obvious reasons. Pro tip: if you’re a local college student, show your Creighton or University of Nebraska Omaha ID and get a free size upgrade!

4. Pastry: WheatFields Eatery & Bakery

WheatFields is a quaint little bakery that has secured a well-deserved spot on our best dessert in Omaha guide as well as in our hearts. Their selection of simple, yet elegant desserts ranges from cinnamon rolls and cakes to breads and pies, and they are each worth every penny, but our favorites are pictured above: the caramel bread pudding and their strudel (which comes in multiple flavors). It’s important to note that their downtown “express” location doesn’t carry as many desserts as their larger location in West Omaha, but both are filled with excellent food and European charm.

3. Cupcake: CupCake! OMAHA

We have tried many locally owned cupcake shops in the area, but CupCake! Omaha is our favorite, hands down. These cupcakes are incredibly moist, light, and fluffy, and every flavor combo is unique. We really love that most of the cupcakes here have either a cream cheese or Bavarian cream filling, which adds so much texture in the best way. If you’re in the mood for the perfect personal dessert, make your way straight to CupCake!

2. Ice Cream: Coneflower Creamery

Coneflower Creamery is a farm-to-cone spot that is truly beloved by Omaha locals for good reason! All of the ice cream, sauces, and toppings are crafted with creativity in house, which we appreciate, and their homemade waffle cones—which are to DIE for—create the most breathtaking aroma when you walk in. The ice cream is rich, creamy, and comes in many flavors, ranging from more traditional (Salted Caramel) to more inventive (Saffron with Roasted White Chocolate). Keep in mind that the popularity of Coneflower makes it fairly busy in the evenings, but don’t let the line out the door scare you away from some of the best dessert in Omaha. This ice cream is worth the wait!

1. Crepe: Sofra Creperie

The very best dessert in Omaha can be found at Sofra Creperie. This Euro-style creperie was recently started by two humble cousins from Eastern Europe who decided to bring their family’s secret crepe recipe to Omaha (we will forever be grateful).  Located in a gorgeous food hall, Sofra serves up both sweet and savory crepes packed full of flavor and fresh, local ingredients. The Strawberry Cheesecake crepe is particularly fantastic and a Female Foodie favorite, but we can’t wait to hear which flavor is your favorite!
