10. Roosters Brewery
Roosters isn’t over-the-top glamorous, and the menu isn’t much different than other brewpubs. But that’s precisely why we love it—they do the favorites so incredibly well, and it’s a spot where loyal Ogdenites come back time after time. From cheese curds to fish and chips, there are plenty of options to choose from. We’re huge fans of their pepper jack enchiladas, featuring the creamiest enchilada sauce in the city. Roosters earns bonus points for being family-friendly and for having some of the best home-brewed root beer of all time.

9. Pig & a Jelly Jar
This fantastic breakfast and brunch spot takes on the Ogden dining scene and holds its own. Pig & A Jelly Jar has a great menu with scrambles and southern specialties and serves the best homemade biscuits in town served with locally made jams like strawberry rhubarb and blueberry lavender. Our favorite entree is the ham hash, made with ham, potatoes, red peppers, onions, local bacon, and sauteed greens, topped with lemon aioli and two sunny side eggs. Another solid order is the chicken & waffles if you’re feeling something sweeter.

8. Aroy-D Thai
After grilling Ogden locals for their favorite Thai food restaurants in the city, Aroy-D Thai took the gold without question. Pretty nondescript from the outside, Aroy-D Thai is a great lesson in not judging a book by its cover. Dedicated to featuring classic Thai favorites, you can find solid massaman curry, authentic tom kha soup, and seasonal pumpkin curry. Female Foodie favorites include the yellow curry and basil stir fry. And who would we be if we didn’t remind you to order mango sticky rice to finish the meal?

3. Hanamaru Japanese
Small but mighty, Hanamaru absolutely deserves a spot in our top three best Ogden restaurants. A hidden gem run by a husband and wife duo native to Japan, Hanamaru is the place for anyone after the best Japanese cuisine in Ogden. From Ramen Day (every Saturday from 11:00-1:00) to gorgeous sushi rolls, it’s ALL amazing. If you can’t decide what to order on your first visit, get the tonkatsu dinner with pork cutlet and a sushi roll or two. We love the tonkotsu ramen during Ramen Day as well. With only six tables, Hanamaru takes reservations (and encourages you to make them) and will turn you away if they’re too busy. Don’t let that scare you away though because Hanamaru is absolutely worth any wait or multiple tries to get a table.

1. Tona Sushi Bar
It’s official. We are obsessed with the best sushi in Ogden found at Tona Sushi Bar & Grill. This establishment serves some of the best sushi and Japanese cuisine in Utah with a fun and innovative flair. The service here is incredible and your waiter will give you individualized recommendations based on your preferences. We give five stars to the sashimi spoons, coconut crunch roll, black jack roll, and all the nigiri you can stomach. Don’t hesitate to ask the waiters for their recommendations. We weren’t kidding when we said Tona is innovative—their constantly changing creations cannot be missed. Pro-tip: order their cheesecake if you have room for dessert. It’s unexpectedly delicious.

I could not agree more with this list!!! Tona and Table Twenty Five are both absolutely incredible options! Ogden’s food scene has come a long way and it’s so nice to see your recommendations match up with what all the locals already know! Historic 25th Street is such an underrated gem. Love this list!
