This Austin-based chain known for its burgers and shakes probably isn’t the first place that comes to mind when searching for the best vegan restaurants in San Antonio. They have two plant-based patty options — the well-known Impossible Burger and the Soul Patty made with vegetable protein, rice, millet, carrots, and garam masala. Their whole wheat bun is vegan along with their mustard-grilled onions, balsamic oregano vinaigrette, chipotle Ketchup, potato hay, poblanos, caramelized peppers & onions, salsa roja, pimento relish, smoked vegan gouda, field mushrooms, and of course all the greens you’d expect at a good burger joint. When you order a vegan burger at Hopdoddy, it will be cooked in a dedicated and separated area of the grill that no meat is cooked on. So if it’s a burger you’re craving, come here and pile it all on. Oh, and don’t forget the fries! Sweet potato or regular…..or honestly, just get both.

3. Thai Vegan

The Alamo City doesn't just offer tacos and Tex-Mex. From burgers to quinoa bowls, here are the best vegan restaurants in San Antonio!

All the awesome flavors you’d expect from Thai food, just made vegan. The majority of the flavors in Thai cooking come from plants, herbs, and spices already, so an amazing Thai place that is 100% vegan just makes so much sense. Thai Vegan’s curry is on point and the P.E.T (pumpkin, eggplant, tofu stir-fried in garlic sauce with bell pepper, basil and chili) is also a huge winner in our book. There are so many options here, from soups and curries to noodles and skewered satay appetizers, so definitely bring a crowd of people with you and plan to share. Thai Vegan is well-deserving of a spot on our list of the best vegan restaurants in San Antonio.
