It being the weekend is the only excuse I need treat myself to a good breakfast. Midweek is the usually porridge or toast but Saturday and Sunday calls for bacon, eggs, waffles, pancakes or French toast. The Breakfast Club has a queue out of the door every weekend of hungry Londoners waiting for their breakfast fix! It’s chilled out vibe and hearty food makes it a must go weekend foodie treat.
There’s good healthy options like smoked salmon or fruit salad, but the not so healthy (and most popular) options like your traditional English breakfast, or a big, fat stack of buttermilk pancakes are on the top of my list. Stacked high and smothered in butter, syrup and vanilla buttercream, they really are for the big kids out there. Stick a few candles in there and I’d happily have them as my birthday cake!! For more savoury girls and guys, the full English is for you. Eggs, bacon, beans, toast, the list goes on. We did order a smoothie as well just to feel a little bit virtuous!
If you’re in need of a walk after an epic feast, Spitalfields Market is nearby. Home to fashion, gifts and more amazing food. A great excuse to walk off that breakfast, and perhaps buy a doughnut or 2 for later on. A fantastic morning filled with loads of delicious food. Until next time!
