This delightful little french bakery just opened a few months ago and already it has garnered the attention of many locals and not so locals (me) alike! I heard about it after my Dad texted me and told me I had to go the next time I was in Santa Barbara. Fortunately and unfortunately, I was in Santa Barbara that day but they were closed until the next week. Luckily, I had plans to be there the next week, the day after their reopening, so I made sure to allow for some time in my schedule to make a visit!

Bree’Osh is owned and operated by a lovely French couple who moved to the U.S. just months before opening this spot! Super bright and cheery inside, with just the right amount of sweet and savory treats to choose from, I picked an Almond Creme French Toast and a Cinnamon Roll, paired with a hot chai tea to drink. There are indoor and outdoor seating options, both with views out onto the main street in Montecito, so you can sit for a minute and indulge in your snack while enjoying the scenery.

The almond creme french toast was soo good, with just the right amount of almond creme between two layers of “toast” topped with thinly sliced almonds. And the cinnamon roll (not your average “American” type cinnamon roll- overly sugary loaded with frosting) was an equally delightful little treat filled with tons of thin, flaky layers and just the right amount of sugar and cinnamon. Although I didn’t order one of their namesake brioches on this visit, I will definitely be back for more! Before this visit, I was in dire need of a good go-to pastry spot in Santa Barbara. I’m glad to have finally found a favorite.
