Salt Lake City: Feldman’s Deli

If you ask me where my favorite place to get a sandwich is in Salt Lake City, Feldman’s Deli is *definitely* on the top of that list. What makes a great sandwich? Is it the bread? The meat grade? Fixings and spreadings? Pickle quality? Cheese slice thickness?? You’ve arrived at a one stop shop my friends.

Feldman’s Deli is a New York style delicatessen offering a variety of traditional Jewish deli sandwiches alongside some of the more old time “classics” in a hip, bright, and vibrant cafè setting.

The gregarious owner will probably stop by your table (I swear he’s there every day) and recommend you try the “Sloppy Joe”. This Joe isn’t the same one your mom made every third Thursday of the month growing up. This thing of beauty is true-to-form, 1/2 lb. corned beef and pastrami sandwich served with thousand island dressing and coleslaw on thick slices of Jewish Rye. Unreal and undoubtadly their most popular menu item. My runner up to this Feldman’s specialty is the “Trisha”. She’s big, flavorful, and oh so delicious- thick slices of turkey served with a slice of cheese and coleslaw on those same thick slices of Jewish Rye.

Great spot tucked away in a suburb just 10 minutes south of downtown Salt Lake City. Be sure to ask your special what the special of the day is. Captured above is a delectable bbq pork sandwich my mum and I shared not too long ago. Some of our favorite sides include the potato salad, coleslaw, and french fries (nums).
