Open until 10 p.m. on weekends, Avenues Proper is one of the best late night restaurants in Salt Lake City. 9. The Rest

late night dining at The Rest

Our guide to the best late night restaurants in Salt Lake City wouldn’t be complete without The Rest, a subterranean speakeasy set beneath the Bodega tavern. With a low-lit atmosphere and hunting-lodge decor, The Rest offers a one-of-a-kind experience to all who visit (open until 11 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday). The Charcuterie board is the star of the show here. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and versatile, to satisfy many different palates. We also recommend the French Onion Brisket Sliders, served with gruyere, caramelized onion, garlic aioli, and seasonal pickles. If you’re feeling adventurous, ask for a side of apple jam for your sliders. You’ll thank us later. You’ll need to make a reservation beforehand to enjoy The Rest and remember to bring your ID.
