Unquestionably my favorite food find in Madrid. |
Plenty of tapas and tasties to pick from. Most items are displayed in glass cases. Everything from dessert to jamon to sushi. Everything good quality. Plenty of authentic Spanish as well as international eats. Always crowded. |
Other mercado finds: frozen yoghurt, fresh fruit, good cheese selection, coffee station, Portuguese baked goods, home-made croquettes, salads, seafood soup, flower arrangements, caviar. |
Tortilla (Spanish omelette). Typical tapa consisting of potatoes, egg, and onion. |
My pinxtos for the day. Pinxtos: pinchos. Small Spanish snack or tapa. |
Jamon jamon jamon. The most popular choice of meat in Spain. Served as a bocadillo (baguette sandwich) usually. |
Plenty of pastries to choose from. Shortbreads and chocolate truffles thus far are the winners. |
Chocolate con churros: an absolute must-try while in Spain. |
Mas postre. |

Here is the deal Shoko. The day you leave you need to gather up all that amazing food and keep it fresh and warm and bring it to me.
