Welcome to our guide to the best restaurants near Disneyland. Full disclosure: the happiest place on earth doesn’t serve the best food you’ll ever have (but if you want to see what we suggest reading while in the park then you absolutely need to start here). This list is quite literally a collection of the 10 best restaurants near Disneyland, which includes a few places on Disneyland Resort, a few places in Downtown Disney, and a few recommendations that are a short drive away. Because there’s nothing better than a great meal after you’ve exhausted yourself running from It’s A Small World to Splash Mountain to Indiana Jones one hundred times over.

10. Tortilla Jo’s (Downtown Disney)

Nearly everyone makes a trek to the happiest place on earth at least once, and unless you're planning to eat every single meal in the park, you're going to need this list of the best restaurants near Disneyland.

If you’re leaving Disneyland with an empty stomach, or better yet a stomach full of sugar, and you’re looking for something in Downtown Disney to satisfy your Mexcian cravings, look no further than Tortilla Jo’s. The food here is better than a lot of the dining options in the park and the tableside guac is better than any entree (pretty hard to mess up avocado + salt + cilantro but it totally hits the spot). Best menu items for entrees are the fajitas or the enchiladas suizas.

9. Sprinkles (Downtown Disney)

Nearly everyone makes a trek to the happiest place on earth at least once, and unless you're planning to eat every single meal in the park, you're going to need this list of the best restaurants near Disneyland.

We have yet to find a cupcake that’s noteworthy in Disneyland, but good news- there is a Sprinkles located right in Downtown Disney. The popular cupcake chain delivers a consistent carby sweet treat that far surpasses several treats you can find in the park. The most popular flavor at Sprinkles is the red velvet but we recommend the “sprinkle” cupcake (birthday cake topped with vanilla buttercream and colorful sprinkles) or the dark chocolate (dark chocolate cake topped with creamy bittersweet chocolate frosting and chocolate sprinkles).

8. Steakhouse 55 (Disneyland Hotel)

Nearly everyone makes a trek to the happiest place on earth at least once, and unless you're planning to eat every single meal in the park, you're going to need this list of the best restaurants near Disneyland.

The best restaurant near Disneyland that serves a steak dinner that is on Disneyland Resort, is Steakhouse 55. It is very overpriced and it isn’t the best steak you’ll have in your entire life, but the food is decent and it’s definitely a nice break from the other offerings on the resort. For appetizers start with the cider braised pork belly, served with butternut squash puree, fuyu persimmon, and pickled shimeji mushrooms.  Skip the salads on the menu and order the off-the-menu spinach salad. It isn’t light by any means (they flash fry the entire salad) but the crispy spinach topped with parmesan and fresh lemon juice is really delicious. The service here, similar to all dining experiences at Disneyland, is fantastic and your server will unquestionably walk you through all steak options for your entree. Make sure to get a side of macaroni and cheese or the garlic potato gratin for a creamy decadent compliment to your steak.

7. Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen (Downtown Disney)

Nearly everyone makes a trek to the happiest place on earth at least once, and unless you're planning to eat every single meal in the park, you're going to need this list of the best restaurants near Disneyland.

Don’t let anyone tell you to get beignets inside Disneyland, because the best beignets you can get anywhere near Disneyland are actually in Downtown Disney at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen. Definitely one of the best restaurants near Disneyland, Ralph Brennan’s serves up classic New Orleans cuisine from gumbo to pasta jambalaya to po-boy sandwiches. Our favorite entree is the grilled medallions of beef (shoutout to the mashed potatoes, the real MVP) and the beignets are obviously a must!

6. Bruxie Original Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich (Orange)

Nearly everyone makes a trek to the happiest place on earth at least once, and unless you're planning to eat every single meal in the park, you're going to need this list of the best restaurants near Disneyland.

This is is actually the recommendation that’s farthest away from Disneyland (a whopping 12 minute drive) on this list but nonetheless, Bruxie is one of the best restaurants near Disneyland! If you’re craving fried chicken, skip Roscoe’s and come here for delicious crispy fried chicken sandwiched in a fresh baked waffle. The sky is the limit at Bruxie with several fried chicken menu items, but our absolute favorite is the Holy Chicken- maple glazed fried chicken, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, sriracha sauce, and a sunny side up egg.

5. Napa Rose (Grand Californian Hotel)

Nearly everyone makes a trek to the happiest place on earth at least once, and unless you're planning to eat every single meal in the park, you're going to need this list of the best restaurants near Disneyland.

The best restaurant near Disneyland that belongs to one of the onsite hotels is unquestionably Napa Rose, housed inside the Grand Californian Hotel at Disneyland Resort. In truth, Napa Rose is extremely over-hyped and over-priced, but the food is the best you can find in any nearby Disney-owned hotels and the experience is really well executed. If you really want to go all-out make a reservation at the chef’s counter to watch all of your food being prepared (these spots go quickly- call the restaurant as early as possible to book your spot at the counter).  The menu changes here regularly but you can always find the truffled mac and cheese orecchiette pasta on the menu which is an absolute must.  You’ll want to make reservations ahead of time for this one!

4. Umami Burger (Anaheim)

Nearly everyone makes a trek to the happiest place on earth at least once, and unless you're planning to eat every single meal in the park, you're going to need this list of the best restaurants near Disneyland.

Umami means deliciousness, and if you’re looking for a burger from the sea of restaurants near Disneyland, look no further than Umami Burger. Umami Burger is an LA born and bred chain that serves food in Southern California, Northern California, New York, and even Japan, but it’s definitely the best burger option when you’re looking for something juicy and beefy sandwiched between two buns. The Manly Burger is our favorite, with house beer cheddar cheese, bacon lardons, smoked-salt onion strings, umami ketchup, and mustard spread. And if truffle is your thing then try their number one seller, the Truffle Burger- truffled aioli, house truffle cheese, and truffle glaze.

3. Anaheim Packing District (Anaheim)

When we began our search for best restaurants near Disneyland, Anaheim Packing District was a recurrent recommendation we received and we agree- this is a great option! This upscale food court is home to over 35 merchants including places for fish and chips, sandwiches, pho, and of course dessert! It’s a great place to bring people who want to catch a great bite to eat either before or after a day in Disneyland, and it’s especially ideal if everyone in your group is looking for something different. Our top recommendations are Black Sheep (grilled cheese), The Kroft (sandwiches), or Crepe Coop (crepes).

2. Salt & Straw (Downtown Disney)

Nearly everyone makes a trek to the happiest place on earth at least once, and unless you're planning to eat every single meal in the park, you're going to need this list of the best restaurants near Disneyland.

Although technically not a restaurant, we couldn’t compile a collection of the best restaurants near Disneyland without mentioning Salt & Straw, the absolute best treat you will enjoy before, during or after an experience at Disneyland. Despite Salt & Straw’s recent expansion to many cities across the country, the Portland original still serves the same incredible ice cream with classic flavors such as sea salt with caramel ribbons, roasted strawberry coconut, and freckled woodblock chocolate to satisfy your ice cream loving heart’s content. We especially appreciate that Salt & Straw still creates and serves unique flavors for every single location. The service here is a 10 so make sure to try a few different flavors before you commit!

1. Sabroso! Mexican Grill (Garden Grove)

Nearly everyone makes a trek to the happiest place on earth at least once, and unless you're planning to eat every single meal in the park, you're going to need this list of the best restaurants near Disneyland.

A list of the best restaurants near Disneyland isn’t valid without mention of Sabroso! Mexican Grill and in fact, if we could only eat at one place near Disneyland this would be it. It’s everything you want in a great neighborhood Mexican restaurant- a laid back, casual ambiance, friendly service that’s perfect for couples or families, and most importantly delicious home cooked Mexican food. Snack on chips and salsa or homemade guacamole while your food is being prepared, and make sure that at least one person at your table orders the chile verde. With succulent pork chunks cooked in green tomatillo sauce served alongside rice, beans, and homemade tortillas, you’ll be singing praises for a meal that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg and actually tastes delicious.
