Read our full review at femalefoodie.com!Alright. If you’re in Salt Lake City and haven’t stopped at Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade it HAS to be your next spot for brunch! Most Salt Lake City farmer’s market goers will recognize the hard-to-miss beautiful limeades filled with fresh mint leaves and thick lime wedges. They have always done their limeades right- not cutting corners and ensuring that every last glass is fresh as can be. So I knew without a doubt when they opened up a shop (only to be paired with one of my favorite foods ever) that it was going to be a good one.

If you look at their menu you’ll notice breakfast options including a handful of biscuit concoctions, organic wheat pancakes, and an open-faced sourdough toast with asparagus, egg, and parmesan. My STRONG suggestion is to take the owner’s advice and order The Hoss (named after the boss man himself).

The Hoss is nonetheless than a biscuit topped with fried chicken breast, egg, bacon, cheddar, and mushroom gravy. It is every bit of delicious/glutenous/glorious as it looks and officially takes the cake for my new favorite biscuit in Salt Lake City. Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade’s homemade buttery biscuits are fluffy, melt in your mouth, and go perfectly with just about anything.

Alongside some lunch only biscuit sandwiches, Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade serves four housemade salads, all of which are prepared with fresh, organic greens.

Cody and I tried the Utah Cobb, which was made of mixed greens, fried chicken, black beans, queso fresco, hardboiled eggs, bacon, cherry tomatoes, and topped with a homeade limeade ranch dressing. Talk about fresh, healthy, and hearty. Hoss recommends we try the Viet Man next time- it’s also a mixed green salad but served with cilantro, tender beef, mint, tomato, and cucumber. De-lish.

Read our full review at femalefoodie.com!We ordered the classic Mint Limeade (this is the drink that you can catch at the farmer’s market) and also decided to try the Raspberry Limeade. Both equally delicious and made with organic cane sugar. I’m slightly more partial to the Mint Limeade but I’ve got a strong suspicion that has a lot to do with nostalgia.

Thank you, Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade for literally the best brunch we have had in town for weeks. We loved the atmosphere, friendly service, clean aesthetic, and those HOMEMADE BUTTERY BISCUITS. Until next time.
