Call me basic, but if I could choose to eat one thing for the rest of my life, it’d be a Banzai Bowl. No question. (I’m still begging them to come to Utah!) Not only is it crave-worthy, but fresh and healthy!

Plus, eating one of these on the Newport coast just adds to the heavenly enjoyment.
The Original Banzai Bowl has a handful of little shops throughout Southern California, creating intricate Acai and Pitaya bowls for all beach lovers to enjoy. What I love most about this place is how big their portion sizes are. They are as big as the waves off the coast. Huge. I can barely fit the cup in both hands.
I had a Banzai Bowl for the first time in Laguna Beach, California and was forever changed. After my friends and I discovered it and tasted our first bowl, we bought one on every single day of the trip. So, as I pulled up to the Newport Pier and saw that they opened a new one, as you imagine, I couldn’t resist.

I had never made that quick of a decision before in my entire life. I jumped out of the car and walked (well ran) towards the new shop.
If you’re like me, you’ll anxiously walk in and realize you want to order one of everything on the menu (which I don’t discourage). I’ve tried a lot of the bowls, trust me, and they’re all great – you can’t go wrong. This time however, I decided to grab a Maui Sunrise. It’s a fresh blend of Acai, coconut milk, pineapple juice, bananas, strawberries, and best of all, mangos.

Added to the top? A hefty delectable amount of granola, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, coconut shreds, and the key – honey. So as I’m booking my next trip to California solely for this mouthwatering bowl of goodness, I hope you’ll do the same. See you soon Banzai Bowls!
