10. Aubergine & Company: Mediterranean Salad

Regardless of what you eat at Aubergine & Company, we can guarantee that you’ll never feel sluggish or heavy when you leave. Everything is made fresh with real, whole ingredients, and among other menu items the Mediterranean salad is hard to beat! They also offer chopped salads but we love the compartmentalization (nerdy much??) of the Mediterranean style. Choose your favorite proteins, vegetables, and don’t forget to enjoy it all with their homemade tzatziki sauce.

9. Harmons City Creek: Italian Salad

I’d be lying if I told you this isn’t our *favorite* neighborhood grocer. Harmons has seemed to nail nearly every avenue in the grocery game including their premium sliced deli meats, an artisan selection of cheese and chocolate, homemade lunches and dinners, and one of the greatest salad bars known to man. They’re doing a fantastic job of nixing the old memo that readymade grocery store food is somehow always a few days old and covered with miracle whip. I LOVE this Italian salad because it’s filled with fresh mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh grape tomatoes, olives, and artichokes. Delicious, different, and ready to go.

8. Even Stevens: Chicken, Berry, & Oats Salad
![](https://www.femalefoodie.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/even-stevens-sandwiches-summer-2017-16.jpg)
Not all salad has to be savory and we are HUGE fans of this delicious chicken, berry, and oats salad from our favorite Even Stevens Sandwiches! It has roasted chicken, warm house granola, spinach, spring mix, pickled red onion, blueberries, feta, and a berry vinaigrette. Available at all of their locations!

7. Settebello: Insalata Grande
![Female Foodie: TOP 10 SALADS IN SALT LAKE CITY](https://www.femalefoodie.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_9741-1-1024x682.jpg)
If you’re like me at all, you’ll always choose pizza over salad, but the insalata grande from Settebello is among some of the most delicious in Salt Lake City (definitely ordering WITH your pizza). It’s a mixed green salad with fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, pine nuts, kalamata olives, and artichokes, tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette and topped with fresh cracked pepper and parm slices. My other favorite salads on their menu are the warm beet salad and involtini di prosciutto.

6. Cafe Rio: Shredded Chicken Salad
![Female Foodie: TOP 10 SALADS IN SALT LAKE CITY](https://www.femalefoodie.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_3399-1-1024x682.jpg)
Ode to Cafe Rio and their fresh, consistent salads. This Utah bred and born company is now located in nearly a dozen states with over 60 locations (nearly half of which are in Utah). I have gone through a “phase” for nearly every item on their menu, but the shredded chicken salad is my constant fallback when I need a delicious, filling salad. Don’t be fooled- they’re nearly big enough for two!

5. Cubby’s Chicago Beef: Tri-Tip Steak Salad

If there’s ONE thing you need to order at Cubby’s it’s the tri-tip steak salad. This colorful entree is a mixture of organic romaine & arugula, roasted bell peppers, slivered almonds, scallions, dried cherries, diced tomatoes, feta cheese, and seasoned tri-tip, topped with a lemon cilantro vinaigrette and fresh cilantro. They have locations in Provo, Lehi, Spanish Fork, and Sugarhouse.

4. All Chay: Teriyaki Noodle Salad
![Female Foodie: TOP 10 SALADS IN SALT LAKE CITY](https://www.femalefoodie.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_0745-1-1024x682.jpg)
All Chay is an inconspicuous vegan Vietnamese restaurant located in the heart of Rose Park, a neighborhood just west of downtown SLC. Vietnamese owner Kim Hoa Nguyen created All Chay after living in SLC for 32 years and seeing a need for fresh, vegan, Vietnamese food. This teriyaki salad is incredibly delicious and yes, 100% vegan. I was amazed at how delicious the vegan “chicken” was and loved the different textures and flavors in this noodle salad. Visit All Chay to try this unique and healthy SLC salad!

3. Spitz: Döner Salad
![Female Foodie: TOP 10 SALADS IN SALT LAKE CITY](https://www.femalefoodie.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_0713-1-1024x682.jpg)
This SLC hot spot is on our list of Top 10 Places to Eat in SLC list and unquestionably makes the cut for this salad post too. Next time you’re at Spitz order this Döner Salad for a fresh and tangy bowl of romaine, cabbage, carrots, onion, green pepper, cucumber, olives, feta, pepperoncinis, tomato, tzatziki, fresh lavish chips, crispy garbanzo beans, a slide of fried pita, and a side of balsamic dressing. You can have this bombtastic salad as is or order it with their beef, lamb, chicken, or falafel.
2. The Dodo: Spinach Salad with Lemon Shrimp
![Female Foodie: TOP 10 SALADS IN SALT LAKE CITY](https://www.femalefoodie.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_9668-1-1024x682.jpg)
We all love to visit The Dodo for their famous Tollhouse Pie, but what most people don’t know is that they have a killer salad menu with fresh ingredients and perfectly sized portions to make it a meal on its own. Although their cobb or blackened chicken salads tend to be the trendier items, I suggest you try the spinach salad with lemon shrimp! This spring mix is tossed with cranberries, gorgonzola cheese, candied walnuts, apples, and grapes- covered with a tangy orange vinaigrette. Delicious, filling, you absolutely need to try this.

We’re ending this post on the Top 10 Salads in Salt Lake City with this Market Street marvel for three reasons: 1) It’s gorgeous, 2) I’m a HUGE sucker for fresh seafood, 3) Everyone in Salt Lake City needs to try this. Not kidding. Hats off to Market Street for their delectable twist on a classic. Order this beauty for a bowl of fresh greens covered with bay shrimp, Alaskan snow crab, tomato, avocado, bacon, and bleu cheese. Delicious, colorful, immaculate! Available for lunch only.

Hi Haley! Thanks so much! Good to know about Cubby’s! I was referencing their Sugarhouse location- I’ll have to add the details on South Jordan 🙂
Andrea
Great list…many of my faves on here! That Spitz salad definitely hits the spot. Also, not on your list are Trio salads. Their Cobb with avocado is a personal favorite!

The signature salads at Aubergine in Sugar House are amazing and jam packed with fresh, healthy, filling veggies chopped to perfection. I also love the salads at Cactus Grill. Their Cobb salad always hits the spot.
Brooke
Hi Claudia! Thanks for stopping by! I absolutely love the salads at Aubergine too! Not used to having them in my SLC “regime”. Can’t wait to stop by their new location. Also, never been to Cactus Grill! Can’t wait to give it a go! 🙂
Anne
I just had the butter leaf lettuce salad at Taqueria 27. It is super simple, with just lettuce, roasted pepitas, and pears and a green chile blue cheese dressing, but it was the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time. I ordered it as a side, but I think the next time I go I will add shrimp and have it as my entree. Super yum!
Brooke
Hi Anne! The salad at T27 sounds amazing! I’ll definitely make my way there soon to try! 🙂

The main reason I read this was because I wanted to make sure Cafe Rio got a mention… haha! Good to know about the other salads! Settebello is a favorite, but didn’t know that their salad could compare to their pizza. <3
Brooke Eliason
A salad post for SLC wouldn’t be complete without them! The salad at Settebello is fantastic! I’ll be honest though I’m usually getting a pizza and calling it good but the insalata grande is a great option for something filling, healthy, and delicious.
