10. Wok the Line
A healthy take on the assembly-line-style restaurant, Wok the Line prioritizes fresh ingredients for health-forward yet satiating meals. The menu focuses on wok bowls, with a large selection of veggies that makes it nearly effortless to get plenty of greens in for the day. Build your bowl however you like, but be sure to add the Sichuan sauce or sweet and sour lemongrass. Alternatively, order the Dan-Yaki or veggie fix—both are house specialties that are fresh and filling.

9. Guru’s Cafe
Make no mistake, Guru’s is not a health-focused restaurant. That being said, the menu has a lot of healthy options, and it’s a great place in Utah County to get feel-good food while out with friends. This Provo classic is known for its crowd-pleasing menu, and the options are extensive. As far as healthy eats go, their lemon butter salmon or Mediterranean chicken salad are both great choices. The salmon in particular is tender and flakey, with plenty of bright lemon to balance the luxuriously fatty fish. It’s a can’t-miss, and arguably one of the best things on the entire menu.

8. Bowl Superfoods
Bowl Superfoods is relatively new to Provo, and it is without question one of the best healthy restaurants in Utah County. Alongside Ivie Juice Bar, this small acai eatery makes the best smoothie bowls in the valley. Adding playful (yet healthful) options like blue spirulina and chia seed pudding to their bowls, their menu gives dessert vibes—as well as plenty of nutrition. However you choose to assemble your bowl (and there are tons of delicious options), the coconut chia pudding is essential. Don’t forget the nut butter, and pile it high with fresh fruit. Can’t decide what to add? Don’t sweat it. You’ll be back before you know it!

7. Ivie Juice Bar
Ivie Juice Bar is an iconic Utah County juice bar, and one taste of their acai bowls will prove why. From smoothie and acai bowls to protein shakes and juices, this health bar focuses on nutrition without sacrificing taste. Started by a mother-daughter duo who hoped to show others the value of eating for health and energy, they’ve made healthy eating as delicious and fun as it is purposeful. The honest truth is that the entire menu is amazing. But to help you narrow things down, the Beach Babe and Poison are two favorites. The Beach Babe has such a fresh yet tart taste, thanks to the smooth and creamy acai base, and is topped with loads of fresh fruit. The Poison is much more decadent, with cocoa and peanut butter that totally satisfies the sweet tooth.

6. Zao
Using fresh ingredients, Zao is putting a spin on Asian flavors with a modern approach to fast-casual fusion. Think dishes like Guacamame (guacamole made with both avocado and edamame), and you have the right idea! This restaurant has quickly spread throughout Utah, no doubt because of its accessible, health-forward menu that’s equally delicious. Much of the menu is a make-your-own format, with the chicken and tofu being some of the tastiest protein options. Their bowls with rice are one of the most popular menu items, but the banh mi wraps are also spectacular. While not especially reminiscent of a true banh mi, these wraps are nevertheless packed with bright notes and hearty fillings, from protein to rice and plenty of veggies.

A staple to Utah Valley fast-casual dining, Aubergine has made a name for itself as one of the best healthy restaurants around. Founded in 2014, Aubergine focuses on nutrition with the mantra “eat better, feel different.” Their entire menu is filled with everything from bowls to pizzas—all packed with ingredients you can feel good about eating. The menu is expansive, and nearly anything you order will be delicious. However, there’s something especially satisfying about their classic Mediterranean bowl, spicy coconut curry, and pita sandwich. Last, but certainly not least, it’s not a proper trip to Aubergine without stocking up on their cheesebread.
4. Vegan Sun
Located in the heart of Provo, Vegan Sun is a charming all-vegan restaurant with a delicious menu of curries and noodle dishes. While Vegan Sun has plenty of options, they do tofu and veggies best. We strongly recommend ordering the Curry Warrior Rice, which is, simply put, the best thing on the menu. Beautifully spongy tofu absorbs the earthy, warmly spiced curry, with crisp veggies and pickled carrot and daikon that add brightness. There’s a solid argument that this is one of the best curry dishes in Utah County, and no question at all that it’s one of the best healthy bites around.
