I edit all of my images on Adobe Lightroom and absolutely love their products.

If you’re getting one article of clothing for a true foodie (and especially one who loves taking pictures of their beautiful food), buy them a classic, white t-shirt. They’ll love the natural bright background it gives to any dish and the subtle white tones it can cast on a plate of food. 4. The Greatest Cookbooks of 2017
A true foodie loves a new cookbook. . There is something so timeless about collecting books with gorgeous pictures of food and home-cooked recipes. Some of hottest and most acclaimed from 2017 are listed below:
- Half Baked Harvest Cookbook– You’ve probably seen Tieghan on Instagram at @halfbakedharvest showcasing gorgeous pictures and video of the food she creates in her very own kitchen. This cookbook is the lowest it has ever been discounted from $29.99 to $17.99.
- Smitten Kitchen Every Day– I was THRILLED to purchase this book and have it signed the same day by Deb Perlman herself. I’ve made several recipes from this cookbook in just a few short weeks and love theme of practicality and simplicity throughout all the recipes (so far the blueberry muffins are my favorite). Sadly I paid $35 for this originally, but today it’s the lowest it’s ever been discounted from $35 to $20! Woot.
- Dining In: Highly Cookable Recipes– I just love Alison Roman. Former Senior Food Editor at Bon Appetit Magazine and BuzzFeed, her work has also appeared in the likes of The New York Times, Cherry Bombe, Darling and Lucky Peach. You could say that she’s a pretty big deal. Her brand new cookbook is also the lowest it’s ever been, discounted from $30 to $15. Heck yes.
3. An SD Memory Card
If you’re into posting high-resolution DSLR images on social media like I am, then you’re probably sick and tired of emailing photos back and forth from your computer to your mobile device. I usually use the 32 GB FlashAir memory card because I love the ease of sharing pictures from my camera to my phone with one easy app, but today on Black Friday the best deals around with memory cards are listed below:
- SanDisk 32 GB Memory Card: Originally $12.78, now $7.99
- SanDisk 64 GB Memory Card: Originally $23.49, now $15.99
- SanDisk 128 GB Memory Card: Originally $48.71, now $34.99
1. A Really Nice Camera
A true foodie believes that only good great pictures of food should be shared in order to do the meal justice. I will never forget the fall that I purchased my DSLR. In fact, that was just after I started blogging on Female Foodie. A picture may say 1,000 words but a great photo says 1 million. When people ask me whether they should make the leap and purchase a DSLR, I explain to them that they need to look at it as an investment. Not only can you capture incredible shots of delicious food, but you can use this camera to document every piece of your life.
- Camera & Lens: Canon Rebel T6i Digital SLR with EFS-S 18-55 mm lens. Whenever I’m asked where to start with a great camera that will produce professional images but not cost them a fortune, I always point them toward the Canon Rebel. This camera + lens bundle is the lowest it has ever been- originally $899.00 now $599.00!
- Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS USM wide-angle lens. I love this lens because it allows me to capture those gorgeous macro details in my food photography but has the versatility to take better top-down photos and restaurant or “atmosphere” shots depending where I’m at. Originally $599 and now at $549- the lowest price I have ever seen online!
