Mum visited a few weeks ago and one thing I always get really excited about is planning where to eat. The thing is, mums not hugely adventurous with food and she likes to stick with what she knows . Steaks, burgers and fish and chips. Where as me on the other hand I’ll eat almost anything. Top Dog seemed like a great middle ground for both of us.

Just off a side street in Soho, Top Dog is a classic american diner with modern twist. It looks small from the outside but with additional seating downstairs its a lot bigger than you think. We went on a mid-week evening around 9pm and it wasn’t too busy, but I imagine between 6-8pm and on the weekend it could get a bit busier.
Choose from a classic ketchup and onions hotdog or bbq pulled pork mac n cheese, there’s something for everyone. I went for the loaded chilli dog with melted cheese and sweet pickled onions. Mum had a classic burger with house sauce and the usual fixings. There are loads of sides to choose from too including the cheese fries we went for with the squirty fake cheese that I love and tastes UH-MAZE-ZING.

The girls across the way had a MASSIVE portion of nachos that looks so good, so next time I might try those. Maybe the truffled Mac ‘n’ Cheese too! Or maybe try them for me and let me know what they were like!

I have a feeling once word gets out about this place it’ll be the place to go so get there before all the cool kids do. Not that you’re not a cool kid already 🙂
