When you’re trying to think of somewhere to go get breakfast on a Saturday morning, your mind might not immediately go to a tiny restaurant on the corner of a strip mall in Sandy, but maybe that’s where it should go. The wait to get a table at Britton’s on a weekend can be lengthy, but it’s worth it for the homestyle fare and scrumptious food you’ll receive.
My husband and I ventured in here last week since we were craving some hashbrowns and didn’t want to head anywhere too far from home. We grabbed a seat at the bar (shorter wait time!) and ordered exactly what we were craving – for me, hashbrowns and French toast, and for him, the open face breakfast sandwich.
At Britton’s, you’re going to get exactly what you order, in the form of traditional, home-cooked breakfast items. There was nothing fancy about our food but it hit the spot in just the right way. The French toast was thick and buttery, the bacon was greasy and yummy, and the gravy was hearty and delish. The hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and warm on the inside (although you can order them extra-crispy if you’re willing to wait a little longer). We got just what we came for and can’t wait to go back for more.
Next time you find yourself in or around Sandy on the weekend, make sure you put your name on the list at Britton’s for a dining experience that will take you back to your youth and the smell of bacon wafting through the house on a Saturday morning. Mmmmm.
