When we pulled up to Craft Kitchen we were pleased with the pleasant and bright aesthetic of this neighborhood eatery. Craft Kitchen is new to Henderson and serves locally sourced New American dishes in a chic and clean location. We took our server’s recommendations for all items ordered, and started with the house made pineapple pastry and coffee cake. Confession: we were not blown away by these pastries by any means. Never fear, our breakfast plates were amazing.
We were thrilled with these server recommended dishes for breakfast and suggest you try these too next time you visit Craft Kitchen. Our first bite was of the short rib hash, prepared with braised short ribs, smashed potatoes, roasted sweet onions, and peppers. This beautiful dish was flavorful, innovative, and a perfectly savory start to our day. The rich braised short ribs complimented the smashed potatoes perfectly and presentation was (surprisingly) impressive. If you’re an avocado toast fan, look no further. This is one of the *best* avocado toasts I’ve had to date and that’s a LOT of avo toast I tell you. The combination of perfectly ripe mashed avocado served on grilled ciabata with a poached egg and sunflower seed “pesto” was incredible. A fantastic item to share for a small bite for two or a light healthy breakfast for one. Skip the pastries and order straight from the menu. Looking forward to trying the chicken & waffles, and smoked salmon next time. Thank you, Craft Kitchen- we will be back!
