Pasta is truly a thing of beauty. The magical combination of carbs, sauce, more carbs, more sauce cooked delicately with some of the best flavors in the world is undeniably heaven-sent. The Salt Lake City Female Foodie team is beyond excited to present to you our guide to the best pasta in Salt Lake City. Enjoy!
10. Stoneground Kitchen
After spending an afternoon in downtown Salt Lake City, head across the street to Stoneground Kitchen. Known for their house-made thin gourmet pizzas and pasta, this is a great addition to any downtown day. We recommend the Artichoke Heart Throb: artichoke heart, charred red pepper, roasted mushrooms, spinach, and beurre blanc served with homemade linguine. Read our full review here.

A lesser known spot in Salt Lake City for fantastic pasta (and in particular gnocchi) is Castellammare- previously known as Michelangelo Ristorante. Some menu items tend to be hit and miss, but we’ve found that their pasta dishes are definitely worth a visit! Try the homemade gnocchi di patate with the gorgonzola sauce for a rich and creamy pasta fix or read our full review here.
8. Tin Angel Cafe
Another SLC pasta destination for gnocchi lovers is undoubtably the Tin Angel Cafe. Their potato dumplings cooked with cream, white wine, and imported gorgonzola picante cheese are truly TDF. My server talked me into adding the duck confit (amazing but not necessary). This dish is rich, creamy, and everything you want in a dreamy bowl of gnocchi. Read our full review here.

131 Main St, Salt Lake City, UT 84111 • 801-328-41557. Nuch’s Pizzeria & Restaurant
After loving the pizza at Nuch’s we had our suspicions that the pasta would be fantastic as well. Bingo. Although there are several pasta combinations for ordering and rotating specials, we recommend a house favorite and menu staple, the butternut squash ravioli. Roasted butternut squash mixed with house-made ricotta, romano, and a touch of nutmeg served in a brown butter sauce is the perfect fix for ravioli lovers.

Three words: Wagyu Beef Stroganoff. The Copper Onion deserves a spot on our list of best pasta restaurants in Salt Lake City if it’s for this dish alone. The combination of ouse made pappardelle, melt in your mouth snake river farms beef, combined with mushrooms and creme fraiche topped with chives is something that every SLC local must experience. 111 East Broadway #170, Salt Lake City, UT 84111 • 801-355-32825. Per Noi Trattoria
We love this charming and whimsical restaurant for phenomenal Italian food. Recently relocated from their Stratford Ave location, Per Noi Trattoria on Highland Drive serves fantastic pizza, pasta, and Italian entrees. The house favorite and our recommendation is the Ravioli di Spinaci.
4. Stanza
Stanza is a great place for a delicious pasta fix in Salt Lake City. Among other items, we highly recommend the Linguine all’Aragosta e Gamberetto: house made linguine served with lobster, Gulf shrimp, baby heirloom tomato, white wine, butter and herb oil. The flavors of this dish are something we’ve yet to find elsewhere in SLC!

454 E 300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84111 • 801-746-44413. Veneto Ristorante Italiano
For one of the most intimate, beautiful dining experiences in Salt Lake City, whether you love pasta or not, be sure to put Veneto at the top of your list. Situated inside of a beautiful repurposed home on 9th south, Veneto’s features year-round classical favorites and seasonal specialties from the Veneto region in Italy. We highly recommend indulging in a variety of the seasonal offerings on Veneto’s menu including their house made pasta, which changes monthly. The staff at Veneto including owners Amy and Marco will make you feel as if you’re dining in their own home with the detail and authenticity they have to offer.

370 E. 900 S. Salt Lake City, Utah 84111 • 801.359.07082. Sicillia Mia
For a down-to-earth and casual feel, we love the experience offered at Sicillia Mia. Tucked away in a strip mall off of Highland Drive, Sicillia Mia offers a unique and delicious dining experience. Their menu has a wide variety of items, but I highly recommend spaghetti alla carbonara. This decadent, homemade pasta dish is served and tossed in a giant parmesan wheel table-side. An unquestionable must try for all pasta lovers in Salt Lake City.
1. Valter’s Osteria
Number one on our list of best pasta restaurants in Salt Lake City is unquestionably Valter’s Osteria. Also mentioned on our list of best restaurants in Salt Lake City, Valter’s offers an unforgettable authentic, high-end Italian dining experience. This isn’t the cheapest option on this list but it is worth every penny. With a variety of pasta options for diners to choose from, we highly recommend trying their pasta sampler- a sample of homemade pastas served on one plate. Our personal favorite is the gnocchi arrabiata- a house potato dumpling in a zesty organic tomato sauce. You will die and go to heaven. Read our full review here.
