While Female Foodie certainly isn’t a health-focused brand (cue the cheeseburgers, pizza, and donuts), we believe in moderation and balance in all things. Fueling your body with healthy, whole foods doesn’t have to be miserable, especially while eating out.

13. Mollie & Ollie (PERMANENTLY CLOSED)
Clean proteins, fresh vegetables, and unique homemade sauces all mixed together make for a great meal at Mollie & Ollie. They have a mix of their M&O created salads, scrambles, and stir fry; yet, you still had the option of creating your own. If you’re wanting fast food, yet healthy, head on over! Our pick? Chimichurri Pesto stir fry: amazing pesto sauce, freshly-made egg noodles topped with kale, sweet potatoes, bell peppers, and perfectly cooked beef. A delicious bowl of healthy food in the heart of Salt Lake City.
12. Pulp Lifestyle Kitchen
Whether you’re an avid nutritionist or a hearty muncher, Pulp Lifestyle Kitchen downtown can satisfy any appetite, healthy and non-healthy eaters alike. Their specialty besides healthy ingredients? Homemade juices! Whether you’re wanting to do a juice cleanse, or simply craving a midday snack, these are top of the line. For lunch or dinner, we prefer the roots salad and hot mess burger!
11. GR Kitchen
We love GR Kitchen for delicious, healthy, and fresh greek food — it’s one of the best options for healthy restaurants in Salt Lake City. Located in Midvale, this fast-casual model allows you to select your protein, sauces, sides, and toppings completely customized for every dining experience. Our recommendation is one of the bowls with classic gyro meat, topped with tzatziki, feta, and all the veggies!
10. Fueled Kitchen
Formerly known as ProteinHouse, Fueled Kitchen is a great spot in Draper that serves reliably healthy and delicious food! If you need something quick yet hearty, order one of their creamy and delicious protein shakes- we recommend both the cinnamon roll shake and the fueled freak shake. Looking for something more filling? Try the babe bowl, salmon seared to perfection atop flavorful veggies and rice. Headed here for breakfast? We love the Chocolate dipped protein pancakes probably more than anything on the menu, which tastes like a healthy-ish donut adorned with fresh berries for toppings. One of the best healthy restaurants in Salt Lake City for breakfast, lunch, after the gym, or even dinner.
9. CoreLife Eatery
With locations in downtown SLC, Sandy, Millcreek, and American Fork, CoreLife is dedicated to providing clean and healthy food that tastes good and can be enjoyed! They have several great menu options including green and grain bowls, power plates, and warm rice bowls. We love that they make the food right in front of you so that you can choose to add or omit ingredients as you go down the line. Don’t forget to try some of their delicious handcrafted beverages including cucumber basil lemonade, cranberry cayenne lemonade, beet lemonade (our favorite!), homemade fruit punch, and kombucha.
8. Honest Eatery
Relatively new to the SLC dining scene, Honest Eatery is a great healthy restaurant in the valley. Come here for a snack or a full-on meal and you won’t be disappointed. The Pure Power Toast is our top toast choice, with dill cream cheese, English cucumbers, smoked salmon, microgreens, and capers. And it’s not a visit to Honest without indulging in one of their delicious açaí bowls. You get to choose from a beautiful array of toppings including fresh fruit, granolas, coconut, and nut butters. Check out their first location downtown on Regent Street, or their newest brick and mortar in Foothill Village.
7. Aubergine & Co.
The food at Aubergine & Company is filling, healthy, and totally satisfying. Whether you want one of their signature dishes or choose to make your own salad or sandwich, they will not limit your healthy cravings. The homemade hummus, pita bread, and tzatziki sauce are delicious, and the employees here are always happy to share their personal favorites on the menu. We recommend trying the pita with your favorite toppings or a smoothie if you’re looking for something lighter- the banana monkey is fantastic, made with almond butter, banana, flax seeds, cinnamon, almond milk, dates or agave.
6. Rawtopia Living Cuisine and Beyond
Rawtopia Living Cuisine and Beyond is about as healthy and raw as it gets. Founder Omar Abou-Ismail is committed to making healthy and delicious food at his Wasatch Boulevard restaurant, located just beside Macey’s. The focus here is raw food and low-temperature cooking techniques, and they’re certainly one of the best healthy restaurants in Salt Lake City. Order the bison burger if you’re looking for something particularly hearty, or if you want our recommendation order the stir fry. It’s vegan and raw, packed with nearly 100 fresh, flavorful ingredients including zucchini noodles, leafy greens, avocado, cucumber, celery, bell pepper, broccoli, carrot, plantain/seasonal fruit, crunchy sweet curried almond ginger sauce, creamy Korean ginger dressing, coconut nectar, scallion, hemp seed, black sesame seed, and love.
5. Vessel Kitchen
Vessel Kitchen is one of the best healthy restaurants in Salt Lake City, with locations in Park City, Midvale, and now Sandy! Vessel boasts an extensive, delicious menu filled with plenty of healthy options from salads to tacos to sandwiches to plates and bowls. Our recommendation? Start with the signature Hash Hash bowl, made with braised beef, sweet potato hash, aged feta, pickled onion, and horseradish aioli. Bonus points for several Whole30 options throughout the menu!
4. Laziz Kitchen
Laziz Kitchen serves delicious and healthy Mediterranean food at 900 south near downtown SLC, just a block away from Publik Coffe. Their Lebanese menu has a variety of noteworthy offerings from homemade dips to wraps to salad to burgers. If you’re looking to focus on the healthy menu items at Laziz, we recommend starting with the hummus and choosing between the salad bowl or the platter. They also have an entire menu dedicated to Whole30 approved menu items including several small plates and seven different entrees.
3. The Rose Establishment
A Salt Lake City favorite, The Rose Establishment is located a block away from Pioneer Park. Not only is The Rose home to a classy, modern coffee shop, but they also create deliciously healthy and satisfying dishes, making them one of the best healthy restaurants in Salt Lake City. These two aspects coupled together create an experience that is so calming and enjoyable. Feel good and fuel your body well for breakfast or dinner. We recommend the brunch bowl and the roots sandwich, or one of their rotating seasonal toasts. And if you’re feeling a little on the edge, their cookies are TDF.
2. The Protein Foundry
The Protein Foundry is one of our favorite healthy restaurants in Salt Lake City thanks to their healthy menu options that taste amazing. They have three locations across the valley and a new spot in Park City, but no matter where you go for your Protein Foundry fix, the food is consistently delicious and always fast! They have a great variety of healthy and delicious foods on their menu from gourmet shakes to acai bowls to yogurt bowls to homemade toasts. We recommend the Snickerdoodle shake, the Velvet Samba acai bowl (this granola will change your life), the Ares yogurt bowl, and the Cali toast.
1. Roots Cafe
Tucked into the center of Millcreek, Roots Cafe specializes in locally grown products and healthy unique plates. It’s easy to miss, but hard to forget, and the food here is seriously delicious. They are open for breakfast and lunch seven days each week, but we are definitely partial to their breakfast (some of the best in town, and guilt-free too!). Menu favorites include the Peeto breakfast sandwich, buckwheat pancakes, and “the cleanser” juice. Feeling something a little indulgent? Try the biscuits and gravy or eggs benedict.
